It’s been a little quiet from me lately and the sewing machine has had a well-earned rest 🧵✨

I’m happy to say I’m now back behind the needle and thread, feeling inspired and ready to create again! I’ve missed it more than I realised, and I can’t wait to share what I’ve been working on (and what’s still to come 👀).

💔 Important Announcement 💔

After much thought (and with a very heavy heart), I’ve decided it’s time to close the doors of Scrappy Jack’s cake shed.

Over the past months, the rising cost of ingredients, energy, and supplies has made it harder and harder to keep baking at the standard and price my customers deserve. To continue, I would need to raise my prices far beyond what I feel is fair—and that just doesn’t sit right with me.

This has been such a special journey, and I can’t thank you enough for every purchase, every kind word, and every bit of support you’ve shown me.

I hope that one day I can start up again but for now it’s goodbye.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being part of my cake shed story. 💕

We’ve taken the decision to close the cake shed for a few weeks over the summer. With the gorgeous but hot weather, it’s very difficult to provide cakes that will remain fresh and safe so, we think it’s best to have a break for a few weeks.
Have a great summer and we’ll see you in September 🤞

I don’t think even the most stable of bakes will stand up to the temperatures that are being forecast.
