June's Small Batch Bake might just be everything you need.

Our strawberry, basil and lime traybake is a vibrant summer cake, handmade in small batches.

This award‑winning bake was recognised with a Gold Medal at Britain’s Best Cake in the Modern Cake category, and has become a favourite for its fresh, balanced flavour.

The cake features a light, fluffy sponge, filled with a house‑made strawberry and basil jam, bringing together natural sweetness with a subtle herbal note. It is topped with a smooth mascarpone buttercream, infused with fresh lime juice and zest for a bright, citrus finish.

Each traybake is delicately finished with dried strawberries and handmade crystallised lime, adding texture and a gentle sharpness that lifts the whole cake.

Gluten Free Chocolate Brownie 🍫

A rich, fudgy gluten free chocolate brownie with a hint of vanilla. With 32% of the brownie being dark chocolate, and being made with real butter too - it's delightfully rich.

Try it warmed slightly with ice cream, chop it into bite size chunks and use it in a knickerbocker glory or just take a moment to realise how good a good old brownie can be when baked to perfection.

Our amazing team are already working hard to get some delicious bakes out to you this week. They're in the kitchen as we speak - surrounded by divine chocolatey aromas. Any guesses on what they're baking?

There's a lot of prep work behind the scenes this week - from market and events to all the wholesale trays we're sending out to our stockists after a busy bank holiday.

We're still available to serve you in the bakery shop today. Our hours can be found on our stories.

Loved by all the family, this recipe is inspired by the timeless, traditional Greek Almond Biscuits, Amigthalota. Naturally gluten and dairy free, they are soft & chewy on the inside, and crisp & crunchy on the outside, finished with a delicate dusting of icing sugar.
