The bold and beautiful Berry and Beetroot Brownie 🩷

It's no surprise to us when people's eyes are drawn straight to the beloved Gluten-Free brownie on our cake counter - it's chocolatey but, more importantly, it's bright pink!

Most are drawn by the colour and then curious about the flavour combination - even the little ones ask for it!

Are you on your way back from a weekend in the Lakes, and want a tasty souvenir of your trip? You'll want to try our Lake District Hamper.

A hamper featuring some of our favourite Lake District inspired cakes, with everything sweet required for an afternoon tea. There’s our famous Westmorland Pepper Fruit Cake, created from an old local recipe. It’s amazing served with butter or cheese. Then, we have added our delicious Damson Dodgers, perfect for dunking in the Rinaldo’s English Breakfast tea. For the loaf cake element of your afternoon tea, we have our Carrot & Ginger cake, and then for your chocolate hit we have popped in four slices of Damson Brownie.

All you need to do is add the sandwiches.

A bit more about what’s in the box:

Westmorland Pepper Cake – The cake recipe is based on a forgotten classic, with dried currants, raisins and of course the compulsory freshly cracked black pepper. We’ve also included some extra special ingredients like ground cloves, ginger and rich black treacle, which gives this cake it’s unique flavour. Serves 6.

Damson Dodger Pack –A Pack of 3 large biscuits. Spiced shortbread and a sharp damson jam made in the style of your favourite biscuit.

Carrot & Ginger Cake – It’s light, fluffy and a huge hit with everyone who tries it. With sultanas that are soaked in a chai syrup, this carrot cake is difficult to beat. Serves 6.

Damson Brownie – A rich dark chocolate brownie with a hint of sweet, fragrant damsons from the Lyth Valley in the Lake District. Not sure what a damson is? They are small, dark plums that are found growing in the Lake District. They are famously tart, which makes them perfect for a full-flavoured jam. We swirl our brownie with damson jam, making them even gooier and adding to the depth of flavour. A proper grown-up brownie. 4 generous slices. Made with jam from Lakeland Artisan.

Be garden party ready with our Chocolate Nancy 💐

An oat bar packed with cranberries, apricots, sultanas, lemon zest and a hint of coconut, topped with dark chocolate and pistachios.

Inspired by the cake Lisa’s grandma always made for her, this one is named after her daughter, Nancy. It’s a bar with a zest for life, not unlike Nancy. It contains a bit of everything and is all the more yummy for it.
