The post I thought I’d never write…
After ten years, I’ll be closing Wren Cake Design at the end of this year.
From starting out as The Little Kendal Cakery making birthday cakes, to making wedding cakes for so many lovely couples, this business has been such a big part of my life. So many celebrations, thousands of sugar petals, and a few nervous drives with precious cargo in the boot (venues with huge speed bumps I’m looking at you!).
Thank you to everyone who’s ordered a cake, recommended me or supported me along the way. Whether you were there for the birthday cakes at the very beginning or chose me for your wedding, it’s meant so much.
I’ve made some of the best friends too with the wedding suppliers I’ve worked with. I’ll miss the chats while setting up and seeing familiar faces during a busy wedding season. Please keep in touch!
But I’m ready for a little more time with my family, making plans without checking the wedding diary, and weekends that actually feel like weekends.
I’ll always love sugar flowers, so I’m sure a few will still find their way onto my kitchen table.
I do have a handful of weddings left to finish, which I can’t wait for, and some lovely cakes still to share before I hang up my apron.

I’ll still be sharing my final wedding cakes and some favourites from over the years here. The cake diary might be closing, but I’m not disappearing!
