Thank you for every order I had this year, sometimes it was a bit too crazy so I’m not doing as many cakes this year for a couple reasons…

Firstly, I can’t do cakes when the kids are around so holidays are off limits and in-service days etc, and I end up having to wait till they are in bed to start baking. I can’t hack staying up till 4am doing cakes anymore! πŸ₯Ί
Secondly, I work nightshifts most weekends so that doesn’t leave many days left I can fit cakes in. We have a few holidays planned for this year so I’ll be working as much as possible at the hospital to save for our adventures ✈️

The cakes that are already booked in are in my diary so don’t worry! Just I won’t be taking on many more birthday cake orders for the foreseeable.

If you need cupcakes for any occasion midweek, I should manage because they take so much less time🧁

Today I dodged a bullet in the form of a cake order πŸ˜…

I had a customer message me multiple times over the last few weeks checking her order was still ok for the 12th but hasn’t replied to any messages since last week or paid a deposit by the specified date. My last message to her was on Monday to say that I won’t be able to make the cake without any payment but part of me felt bad that what if she genuinely forgot and was going to message today to say she’s paid and ready to collect it.
I decided to not make the cake and hope my gut feeling was right, that she wouldn’t message again and I’m SO glad I didn’t waste my time and money to make a cake for someone who wasn’t going to collect it. This is why I now take deposits from most people (my friends are fine!)

I might be down some ££ but at least I got to finish rewatching Twilight instead of having to spend an evening in the kitchen decorating cakes that wouldn’t be paid forπŸ€ͺπŸŽ‚πŸ§
