Another Easter bake 🐣
Tiktok showed using store bought puff pastry… not happening so I made my own and made a simple bake a bit more complicated 🤣

Rolled them a bit too tight and flattened them a bit too much before baking 🤦🏽‍♀️

New ovens installed = straight to baking to test it out

- Mini egg rolls 😮‍💨
Using my homemade cinnamon roll dough, covered in a layer of chocolate paste and crushed mini eggs, baked until golden then drizzled with old school icing and more mini eggs 😍

Biscoff Cinnamon Buns anyone?!🥰😍

Very very limited number of these available at MNMS CAFE ELGIN and MNMS Cafe Nairn today along with regular cinnamon buns. Our baker Courtney is experimenting with flavours and we are so excited about it so go down and grab one and let us know what you think 🤤

Yes there is one missing… we had to try it obviously🤣 Best part of the job is product control and it passed the test by all the bakers 👏🏼

Exam week is finally over!
One more week left of this journey then back to Scotland to start something exciting and carry on towards my dream 👩‍🍳🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Was a very tiring and intense week for exams with only 3 hours a day to make components and present the overall bake to be judged! There is a few things I am not happy with but it is all a learning curve and I am proud of what I managed to do. We find out how we done near the end of next week 🤞🏻

Heart shaped chocolate box made fully from tempered chocolate! Along with chocolate roses (dusted with lustre dust, leaves and stems. Filled with passionfruit macarons + cherries dipped in fondant and chocolate!!

Had to facetime my mum to show her as it is going to her for part of her Mother’s day with moulded chocolates and roses inside instead and I wanted to post it before 🤣

This was a practice run before we have to re do it all again in our exam in a few weeks with only a few hours time frame! This one took an hour and a half to complete 😅

Easter novelty cake 🐰

Realistic tree trunk design with a handmade bunny + nest 🪹 Was so nice getting back into decorating a cake and hand making toppers!

-Vanilla sponge with jam and vanilla creme au beuree filling, covered in covapaste icing and decorated with molding icing and royal icing
