⚠️IMPORTANT UPDATE⚠️

With immediate effect, we will not be accepting any new orders.

If you have a cake booked in that has been secured with a deposit then your cake will still be ready for you on your agreed date and will be completed to our usual high standard - there are some lovely ones in the diary over the next few months that I am looking forward to creating.

However, after 7 years of running Little Red Door Cake Company alongside working another job and trying to juggle everything that life brings along, I have finally decided that it is time for me to re-evaluate and make some changes.
I don't know if this is a forever decision or not...but it is most definitely the right decision for now and for the foreseeable future.

I hate to disappoint anybody and I have thought long and hard about this- it's not been a quick or easy decision to make. I am so incredibly grateful for the support I've received with LRD over the years. I've met some lovely people and been given the opportunity to be part of some wonderful special occasions. I'll always treasure the memories.

I have contacted all of my FEBRUARY customers this week. If this is you, please check your messages and if you can answer my questions that would be brilliant please! 😊

For those who don't know- I work 2 jobs, life is busy and the only way I can manage this is to be super organised, especially when it comes to ordering supplies, researching new techniques, designing & pre-making structures etc.

This is just the way I work as I find it the easiest way for me to manage everything.
I appreciate your order may still feel like a while away but I just can't work last minute- it doesn't suit me or give me any work/life balance. I'm sorry!

So if you've had a message this week- please can you get back to me at your earliest convenience. I'll be super grateful! 😊

And for any new enquiries, bookings are now being taken from March onwards - limited availability.

I promise though- I'm still here, still busy creating cakes for you lovely lot and the diary for 2022 is open!

Just a quick thank you for all of the support this year, it is hugely appreciated & I'm sorry for being rubbish at keeping the page updated... I'm not promising that this post means I'm back online but I will try to share some of the last few months cakes soon- there's been some beauties! 😍

It's a special day today, it's this wonderful lady's 80th Birthday!!

This is my Aunty June & growing up- she was like my second Mum!
She taught me how to make scrambled eggs, she tidied my room (and cursed me for how many hair grips she found on the floor!), she took me to the seaside and clearly emptied my shoes of sand and held my illuminous slush puppy 😂, she posed for photo's with me with Percy Sugden at Granada Studios and when I was a toddler- she bribed me to go to bed without my dummy by promising me £1 in the morning- it worked!!
But most of all, she was always there just being herself with all her daft questions & just full of love.
Happy 80th Birthday Aunty Spoony! 🎂🎉❤️

I will try to be better at keeping the page upto date, I'm off work this week (my "day job") but still busy caking away in between spending some much needed quality time with Mr LRD.

So sorry for the radio silence! The social media break was completely unintentional & the longer it went on, the harder it became to come back & know what to post!

I've still been super busy in the kitchen and I have loads of cake creations to share with you from the last month or so but I just had to share one from this week first...after all it is month! 🏳️‍🌈 ❤️

I loved this cake- the bright colours & sprinkles just made me smile! And it's carrot cake too, one of my faves! 😋
