Something completely new for 2027 - discover the joy of the Ocarina!
Come along and enjoy a delightful Ocarina Workshop, where you will discover the charm of one of the world's oldest musical instruments. Dating back over 30,000 years, the ocarina may be ancient, but it's wonderfully easy to learn.
In this friendly, relaxed workshop you'll be amazed at how quickly you can play your first tune. Within minutes you'll be creating simple melodies and by the end of the session you will be playing beautiful harmonies together as a group.
Whether you have never played an instrument before or simply fancy trying something new, this workshop is all about having fun, making music and enjoying good company. It's the perfect opportunity to learn a new skill, share a few laughs and experience the wonderful sense of achievement that comes from making music together.
No musical experience is needed - just bring yourself and a smile!

A huge thank you to Hilton WI for creating our wonderful October foyer display.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this thoughtful display highlights the importance of being breast aware and regularly checking yourself for any changes. A simple check can make a real difference, so please take a moment to look after yourself and encourage others to do the same 🩷

STEP INTO A WORLD OF PURE IMAGINATION!

Get ready for a truly magical day out as we head to London’s Coliseum Theatre to see the spectacular The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Musical.

And the golden ticket gets even better… Michael Ball will be stepping into the legendary role of W***y Wonka.

Wednesday 14th July 2027
Coliseum Theatre, London
£93 Members | £98 Non-Members

This is a very special, limited run, with the show running for just a few months from June to September 2027 — so this is one chocolatey treat you definitely won’t want to miss.

Apologies for the very short booking timescale.
Because tickets are limited and this fantastic opportunity has come up quickly, bookings close on Wednesday 4th November 2026.

So grab your golden ticket, hop aboard the coach and join us for a magical day of music, mischief and pure imagination.

Don’t leave it until the last minute — this one could disappear faster than a bar of Wonka chocolate.

The WI is delighted to be taking part in 's Women & Girls Match Fund: https://donate.biggive.org/campaign/a05WS00000GLdgHYAT

For one week only, every pound donated to our No More Violence Against Women campaign will be matched.

This funding will help us to:
• Train WI members to become No More Violence Ambassadors.
• Develop new educational resources and campaign materials.
• Increase understanding of domestic abuse, including coercive control and other non-physical forms of abuse.
• Equip members with the confidence to speak about violence against women in their communities.
• Support members to organise awareness events, talks and local activities.
• Encourage community action during the UN's 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign.

Donate today and share the campaign with someone you know. Together, we can help end violence against women.
