Square Flower Cake 🎂 🌸

Got to make this square chocolate cake for a belated 50th birthday party.
They asked for a chocolate cake covered in flowers and a drip.
Only just managed to get a photo when the rain let up for 5minutes then started pouring it down again 😅

It's been a while!
Finally got to get the baking gear back out to make the birthday cake for Dominics birthday.
Find it difficult now to do baking with the new job, hence why there's been no new cakes for ages 😅
Kept it simple and decorated with all Doms favourite games, was fun getting to just draw on the cake as well for the decorations 😀

Jacobs birthday isn't till next Saturday but the boys are having a joint party so Jacobs cake is all ready for it too.
I asked him what cake he wanted and he said chocolate cake, I asked what he wanted it to look like and he replied chocolate cake 😂 so my boy got exactly what he wanted. I cant wait to see his face tomorrow when he sees it 😍

I've been wanting to record me making a cake for ages now, I tried it a few weeks back but made the mistake of placing the camera on my dominant hand side, so all you saw was my arm 😅
This one's not perfect (I didnt notice it had stopped recording 😅)
but loved doing it!

Just thinking back to how awful I have always been at piping
Swipe for only back in January when I got so stressed I just smoothed them out and they were the most hideous things 😅
To now, there looking so much better! I still have alot to learn but just shows just keep trying and you'll get there eventually 🥰 feeling a lot more confident 😌

I got to make this cake for a surprise 40th birthday for the lovely Kate.

Very proud of it, I was so worried making this cake this week because of how ridiculously hot its been, I was waiting to find it in a melted mess 😅 But it all came together without a hitch 🥰

Teacher treat boxes 🧁

I made all the boys teachers and helpers some thank you boxes for end of the year.
Jacob has 9 in total over his nursery and wrap around, Dominic has 2, we also sent some full boxes of buns for 4 other members of the school who have helped us out over the year.
I enjoyed getting to make these up and add the children's cards to them, fun little thing to do and get the boys joining in.
