It’s with heavy hearts that, after nearly 5 wonderful years on Bucklersbury, we’ll be closing Neighbourhood Bakes.
Neighbourhood has never just been a cake shop. It’s been about community spirit, kindness, and connection. A little place filled with a lot of love, creativity, and care. If you’ve been in to visit us over the years, we hope you’ve felt that too.
We’ve done our best to keep Neighbourhood accessible, resisting price hikes and trying to make our cakes feel within reach. But like so many small independents, the challenges of rising costs and the changing pace of the high street have made things increasingly tough behind the scenes.
So, for now, it’s time to take a break. These buns are burnt out, and the ovens are going off.
Our last day of trading will be Saturday, 26th July, and we’re going out with a bang! We’ll be throwing one big final street party with our lovely neighbours on Bucklersbury and we’d absolutely love for you to come and join us. Let us know what you’d love to see back on the menu for our final weeks, and we’ll do our best to make it happen.
To our incredible team, thank you. Your kindness and strength, especially over the past five months, has meant everything. We are endlessly grateful.

To everyone who made the extra effort to walk that little bit further out of town to find us, thank you.
To those who bought a coffee, shared a cake, dropped off homegrown ingredients, offered us a coffee machine when ours broke, or just popped in for a chat, thank you. You all made this place what it is.
Whatever comes next, we leave feeling so proud of what we created here, together.
