A great day yesterday when we held our Herefordshire Skills Conference, with the theme of Building the Future Workforce for Herefordshire.

We’re under way at the Herefordshire Skills Conference 2026 – BUILDING THE FUTURE WORKFORCE.

Help Shape the Future of Workforce Health Support

The Herefordshire Growth Hub is working with the Departmet for Work and Pensions (DWP) Keep Britain Working policy team to better understand the impact of sickness absence on local employers. As one of the country's vanguard areas helping to inform national thinking on workplace health and economic inactivity, Herefordshire has a unique opportunity to ensure the experiences of local businesses are heard.

We are inviting employers to take part in a short survey exploring sickness absence, its causes and the challenges organisations face in supporting employees to remain in work. The findings will help build a stronger evidence base, inform future support for businesses and contribute to wider discussions on how employers can play a role in improving workforce health and reducing economic inactivity.

The survey takes just a few minutes to complete and your insight will make a valuable contribution to both local and national policy development.
