Hi, I’m Lindsay, a small batch baker in Henley-on-Thames with two small girls and a beardy husband.

But not just any cake – we like the cake that you had as a kid – you know the one that made you want to lick the bowl and ended up all over your face and on your shirt…so that’s what we make, with seasonal, local ingredients, the good old-fashioned way.

End of an era...

After more than a decade (first as a side hustle and then an *actual* business), I've decided to close the bakery.

As much as I've loved being a part of everyone's celebrations, supplying awesome cafes and meeting you all at the pop ups, rising ingredient and energy costs (along with the crazy early starts) mean it's just not working for me and where I want to be anymore.

If you've got an order in with me I'll still be baking, but my last cafe drop will be 24 February and my last pop up will be 29 February at the bakery.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped, bought cake and cheered from the sidelines; it was definitely a brilliant ride!

I feel really privileged to have had the chance to live out my dreams, and I can't wait for the next adventure 🙌🏻

New cake alert: a lemon & vanilla sponge, with meringue baked on top, then covered in cream and berries, I'm going big and saying this Brita cake is THE cake of the summer, perfect for picnics, birthdays, afternoon tea in the garden and rainy Tuesdays alike!

If you're looking for some eggsellent cake this Easter (sorry, I couldn't resist!), I'm doing treat boxes for collection on Good Friday. They'll include mini egg cookies, Easter egg rocky road, lemon & raspberry minis and carrot cake minis 🐰
