We can now tell you that there will continue to be a independent bakers and confectioners trading from our old shop in Hebden Bridge. Some of you may have already seen the signs that Marshalls are taking over where we left off. It would be great if you could pop over to their page and give them a like and tell them how much you're looking forward to welcoming them to Hebden. They are a family run business like we were so I hope you can all support them like you've supported us over the years.

Final decisions have been made as some of you will have heard no doubt. After over sixty years of trading we will not be re-opening. We'd like to thank all the members of staff who have come and gone and come back again in some cases, and one member of staff in particualr for staying with us through thick and thin, thanks Alan. Thank you all for your custom over the years. This flood has destroyed us in more ways than one so its time for us all to move on to pastures new with a bright future and a extra hour or two in bed! If you are missing a pie and you're in or passing through Ilkley go and try a pie from Lishmans Of Ilkley, you won't be disappointed . Please accept this as our only statement on the matter. Thanks.

Our Hebden Bridge shop opened for the last time on Christmas Eve. There are various reasons and a very obvious one as to why we have come to this decision. Mytholmroyd's future has not been decided yet despite what you may hear on the jungle drums. We would like to thank all our staff for their support in this difficult and stressful time. Thank you all for your custom and support over the years and I suppose some will say it's the end of a era. All good things must come to a end though. Thank you.

To maybe calm or I suppose even stoke the fire of the infamous Calder Valley rumour mill NO decisions have been made to the future of our business wether it be we re-open or we don't. Decisions like this after such an event take time and also money to sort out. In 2012 we were able to re-open two days after the flood because the bakehouse wasn't flooded and it has never flooded in there the whole time the building has been standing which is about eighty years. This flood has been on a level never known in this valley, the water was inside the bakery upto about four feet in depth. The shops and bakery have all been sanitized and are ready to roll but when water soaks into machinery that causes major issues. We are currently trying to deal with those issues and like we said in our previous post, when we know something you'll know something. I hope this update helps and whilst folk are talking about us it's taking the heat off somebody else!

Another day cleaning up and much the same as yesterday everybody has been fantastic, we've even had help come via the Isle of Man. Thanks again to everybody who were bringing the brews, sandwiches, biscuits, cakes and Cleaning products and general help to everybody affected by the floods. Onwards and upwards!

We can't say a big enough thanks to our staff, friends, people of Mytholmroyd and other random folk that were turning up with food, brews, brushes, mops etc for us to use in the clean up after this soul destroying flood. Acts of kindness from the above mentioned is humbling and we really do appreciate all the help that we have relieved today. we could name names but rather not just in case we miss anybody out. You all know who you are so once again a huge thank you. Thanks to everybody who are helping to little old Mytholmroyd back on its feet and the rest of the Calder valley too.
