Are you celebrating several family birthdays all at once and needing a cake for everyone to enjoy?

Then here's a fun cake I created last week with exactly this in mind! It's your sister's 40th, but you also want to include a little something for your son and niece's birthday's too!

Fondant cake toppers are a great way to bring a personalised touch to the design of the cake!

This was a delicious lemon cake with a lemon buttercream and zingy lemon curd filling.

This wonderful pink and sprinkly cake was ordered by one of my regular customers for her daughter’s 16th birthday.  It’s a delicious classic vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream filling.

This was my finished brief, clean and simple, with the customer due to add the finishing touches before the party.

So take a look in the comments below at the customer’s photo, showing off the “finished result” with its many candles on top!! Amazing!

Wow, what a busy month it has been, both baking and family life behind the scenes too! September always feels like a fresh start, re-establishing work rhythms, school runs, and structured routines, after the more free and often easy going pace of the summer holidays...but it always takes a few weeks to adjust! Not to mention throwing my own birthday celebrations into the mix!!

As such there's been little time to post, I do apologise for my quietness on the socials, but now things have started to settle, there's plenty to share with you all!!

Let's start with wishing Theodore a Happy 10th Birthday 🥳 Here's the half pipe skate ramp cake he had for his party at SkateFarm over the weekend! It was a pleasure creating this colourful chocolate-filled cake for you, I hope you had an awesome time celebrating! 🛹

Here’s is a gorgeous wedding cake I delivered to Wedding & Events Venue 📍 West Sussex yesterday afternoon.

Congratulations to the newlyweds, Josh & Matt 💖

The bottom tier was made up of four layers of zesty lemon sponge with lemon buttercream and lemon curd filling, and the middle and top tiers
consisted of three layers each of decadent coffee sponge with coffee buttercream filling.

The handmade sugar paste roses, to match the overall wedding colour scheme, added a lovely little floral touch!

Having my inspection coincide with the start of the school year certainly kept me on my toes last week, but I couldn’t be prouder to receive this stamp of approval today, showing my dedication and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety in my business.

A tall fondant-iced Victoria cake, with layers of vanilla sponge sandwiched together with buttercream and delicious homemade jam!

September brings as wonderful shift of seasons, with chilly mornings, warm days and cosy evenings setting in as Autumn arrives 🍂

A blend of warm spices starts to fill the air as cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger make their way back into my doughs and batters 🍰

This time last week I was thrilled to have the opportunity to create my very first wedding cake for Laura & Jeff's wedding celebrations!!

Being in the middle of another summer heat wave and facing 34 degrees heat was definitely a challenge, but I am very pleased to report that everything went to plan and the cake was a huge success!

All my fears of presenting a melting cake were avoided, and a milestone proudly achieved for myself and my business!

Laura & Jeff....many congratulations and thank you for letting me play a part in your special day 💖

Shout out to Chrissie and all those at The Sloop Inn Sussex for keeping the cake at its very best throughout the afternoon, thank you! 🙏
