Oakwood Airways set off this morning with a full plane of residents jetting off to Canada 🇨🇦🍁✈️
In-flight snacks included Canadian baked ham flavoured crisps, maple syrup fudge and maple syrup and toasted pecan popcorn 😋
Facts and trivia were learnt about this vast country and it provoked a lot of conversation from residents that had visited Canada in the past.
John shared the story of his encounter with a bear when he was working there in the 60's. He was staying on a camp and the bear had come looking for food. Although John had been issued a gun, he felt the best option was to make a run for it! On returning to the camp, sometime later, it was discovered the bear had found some tins of food and stamped on them to release the contents for eating! John said it was a very scary experience!
Everyone enjoyed the visit to Canada and Hilary suggested the Seychelles for our next trip 🏝🇸🇨
