Hey! Belated Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and all the other bits I've missed!

I can't believe it has been 13 weeks since I posted that I was heading into surgery. Naive little old me honestly thought I'd bounce right back and be super productive even when recovering on the sofa. Well boy was I wrong!

Physically my poor body has really been through it. Typical Caroline-style nothing has been straight forward and I've had several post-op complications including a night in A&E! My naivety and pure stubbornness hasn't done be any favours and if I'm entirely honest my mental health has (and continues) to take a bashing. The hours and days are flying, messages (cake and personal) are mounting and the only thing I'm 'on top of' currently is hospital appointments due to more issues. So please, please accept my apologies for being awol. I have recruited help to get back to you all. I will be back baking again soon but won't be taking on too many orders as I need to remember I'm still recovering. So if you would like to book please send a message asap to avoid disappointment xx

🍰 🍰 Cake slab day - this Sunday 🍰 🍰

You asked, I listened! The cake slabs are back!

THIS SUNDAY !

Those that had them last time will vouch for the size of these whoppers. Enough to share (or not if you're like me 😋)

Flavour choices are.....

Caroline's signature Victoria sponge - beautifully light vanilla sponge filled with strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream, topped with strawberries and strawberry drizzle 🍓

Classic chocolate - chocolate sponge filled with creamy chocolate buttercream topped with chocolate ganache, chocolate shavings and chocolate pieces 🍫

White chocolate and raspberry - one of my favourites! Light vanilla sponge with raspberry jam and white chocolate buttercream. Topped with white chocolate drizzle, raspberry coulis and white chocolate shavings 🍰

Chocolate caramel Mars cake - chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream and caramel, topped with more chocolate buttercream, caramel drizzle and Mars bar pieces 😋

£4.50 a slice. Just let me know if you need a fork 🍴 (or two!)

🌟 Get your tickets! 🌟

Not cake related but a shameless post about my daughter Jess.

In just over a month Jessica will perform along with her friends in Annie.

All the children and staff have worked hard for months on this and are all so excited!

Tickets are on sale now on the website. Just £8 each!

Performances on the 2nd and 3rd June.

Sat here with a coffee replying to messages.

I have had a lovely couple of weeks annual leave with the hubby working hard on our garden project. I did set a scheduled post saying I was taking some time out but it didn't post 🤦‍♀️

Apologies I didn't get around to replying to everyone yesterday. Still playing catch up from the weekend.

Hope you all enjoyed Mother's Day? I was spoilt by my beautiful family with lots of chocolate (they know me so well), a lovely card and a cheeky little Nandos takeaway 😊
