It’s been a long time since I’ve posted, but today I had a super happy day with Carlene for her Extended Baking Class.
What an amazing job she did, with no previous experience, other than using cake mix from a box!
Carlene learnt how to bake sponge cakes using the creaming method. She made sponge cupcakes with white chocolate buttercream and raspberry jam, and a large lemon cake with lemon curd buttercream filling.
She decorated the cupcakes with piped buttercream, while the large cake was split, levelled, filled and given a semi-naked decoration.
Carlene took home her beautiful cakes to enjoy, along with a full set of notes/instructions to practice some more by herself. Really well done!
