As many of you have probably noticed I haven’t been posting cakes of late, this is because I have been unwell and having problems with my hands, delayed reactions, shaky hands, reduced grip and problems with my fine motor skills. I have had tests on my nerves in my hands and this came back okay but I have been diagnosed with many health conditions that affect my life daily including Fibromyalgia, which they think is why my hands are as they are.
My problems with my hands and the exhaustion I feel daily with the Fibromyalgia are the reason I am taking the decision to close until further notice.
The joy I got from making cakes has became frustration from my hands not doing what I want them to, the fine motor skills and shakes are one of the biggest problems but the exhaustion is another factor, I have always worked on my cakes in the evenings and falling asleep in the afternoons and feeling completely drained by the evening is another problem.
My doctors have told me I have to start pacing myself and I am making myself worse when I am pushing my body to hard, I am having to reluctantly agree with them and take the advice.
So Custom Made Cakes which was a dream for me will have to be closed until further notice. 😢
