This Saturday find me at .lane Spring Fair (Saturday only!) from 10am! 🌺💐🌼

I feel a little bit like a kid on their first day of school as it has been so long since I’ve done a market outside the Yard (what do you mean I have to be organised and bring everything with me … and wake up way earlier than usual 😬) but I’m very excited to be at the lovely Waterlane with a whole host of other amazing artisans.

I’ll be bringing lots with me and have been devising a very special menu - Waterlane is only about a 30 min drive from Hastings so if you are looking for something to do this Saturday - do stop by and say hi!

Here is a picture of my face (wearing babka merch of course!) to remind you that I am back open again this Friday and Saturday after having a week away :)

It was really lovely having time off that also ended up being a bit of a social media break (who knew that looking at one tiny app all day can lead you to make constant comparisons and feel bad about yourself all the time - haha not me 🙃)

But anyway back to more regular posting again for the time being - hope to see you this Friday and Saturday!!

Okay let’s forget it’s getting to mid April and and relive some MARCH MOMENTS!! Ft, oooey gooey cinnamon buns, strawberry cake donuts, Guinness cake buns, pops of colour and friendly visitors 🐶

April schedule is here! 🌹💐🌸🌺🌷🌻

I am open as normal this Friday (Good Friday) and Saturday (very unsure of amounts to do as I have a fair amount of preorders so would recommend arriving early to have the best choice!)

Please note the bakery is closed for a week from the 12th - 19th as I am away :) (really embracing not having the awful confines of statutory annual leave this year lol!)

But apart from that I am open every Friday and Saturday in April! And workshop spaces for BABKLAY with .pottery are still available - we would love for you to join where we will make special babka buns and even more special boxes that look like babka out of clay 😌😌

Mother’s Day farmers market was a lot of fun on Saturday .waterworksroad 🌷🌷🌷

Everything looked pretty good and the sun was shining and the flowers from were the perfect pink (and completely natural!!!) and I hope you all enjoyed your treats.

Open again this Friday and Saturday, with the same choc Guinness cake buns that I made last Saturday because they’re the best (and cracking a can of Guinness open at like 10.30am to make the caramel always makes me lol)

Mothers Day preorders are here 💐🌺🌷🌷🥀🌼

I will be open next Saturday 14th March (day before Mothers Day) as part of the .waterworksroad Farmers Market. Similar to Valentines I am offering preorders on boxes of 4 buns - you can mix and match flavours to make a perfect box of 4 ♥️ I will also be selling all these flavours individually at the market too, plus with all the usual extras - focaccia, babka loaves, cookies etc!

For preorders only I am teaming up with the lovely and extremely talented and each preorder box will receive a beautiful pink Gerbera Daisy (similar to as pictured). 🌷 Preorders will close next Wednesday (11th).

Next Saturday (14th) is a Farmers Market day and the day before Mother’s Day - alongside selling as normal, I will be offering preorder boxes and will be sharing the menu for this very soon!

Hello March! Gawd the sun feels good doesn’t it!!! ☀️🌼💛

A little Feb round up for you - lots of hard work and lots of buns in Feb but also some play as well as I gallivanted off to Edinburgh for a week and realised yes I do have a pastry limit. (Also for those not in the know, pic no 3 is macaroni cheese in a pie - the classic Scottish delicacy … maybe best not eaten cold on a train haha)

Let’s hope March is a good one!

Got a beautiful menu for this Saturday which is a .waterworksroad Farmers Market day and I’m having a little celebration of 5 years of Small Batch Babka… I’ve gone down memory lane to bring back some defining flavours from the past (in the case of pistachio tiramisu the very recent past lol) … I hope I’ve captured at least one of your favourites in there!

Alongside lots of babka and treats (and maybe one other item which I’m still testing for Saturday) I will also be selling my new Babka Enthusiast caps and can you really call yourself a fan of Small Batch Babka if you don’t buy one? 😉 🧢

Anyway come rain or shine I will be selling Babka this Saturday and I have upped my quantities so hopefully there won’t be a too fast sell out like a few Saturdays ago!
