Every week, a different member of our team creates the weekend bread specials, and this week Jess has come up with two delicious loaves. The first is a dill and black pepper sourdough, and the second is a coconut milk loaf.

Here’s why Jess chose these flavours:

Dill and Black Pepper
“Dill is my favourite herb, and it has always felt synonymous with summer and picnics, so this seemed like the perfect time to use it. (I also didn’t think Nathan would let me make a dill pickle bread, so this is the next best thing!)

I think this would make an amazing sandwich loaf or a great cheese toastie bread.”

Coconut Milk Loaf
“Again, coconut is such a great tropical summer flavour. I thought a super-soft milk loaf would pair perfectly with a light coconut flavour. I know coconut isn’t for everyone, but I love it!

I can imagine this making the perfect base for French toast, or simply toasted and smothered in raspberry jam for breakfast.”

This week, it was Priscilla’s turn to create the weekend bread specials. She’s baked two delicious loaves: a made-without-gluten loaf* and a garlic and brown butter focaccia.

The made-without-gluten loaf is a small seeded loaf, packed with flavour, and makes a great sandwich loaf.
*While this loaf is made without gluten, it was produced in an open bakery where gluten is present.

The garlic and brown butter focaccia made the bakery smell incredible as it was baking. This savoury focaccia pairs perfectly with pasta or a summer salad. ☀️
