Meet Isabelle ✨
At just one year old, Isabelle was born with achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism that means she has shortened arms and legs and is currently unable to sit or crawl. While her mind is curious and ready to explore, many standard toys simply aren’t accessible to her.
Isabelle’s mum, Anita, discovered Newlife while searching for toys that could truly meet her daughter’s needs. After reading the story of another little girl named Gabriella, who faced the same challenges and had found support from Newlife, she knew she’d found something special.
Now, Isabelle has a whole new world of play to explore. From spinning wooden chimes and high-contrast black and white animals, to sensory toys with lights, sounds and textures, each toy is carefully chosen so Isabelle can enjoy playtime while lying on her back. Through these moments, she’s building skills, discovering what she loves, and even learning to roll a ball for the first time 🌈
For Anita, the loan service has been life-changing, allowing her to see what truly works for Isabelle without the worry of investing in toys that are too heavy, too fiddly or simply not right.
Every child deserves the chance to play, in their own way, and in their own time 💫
