I just wanted to let you know that I had surgery a couple of weeks ago and I’m now at home recovering. FYI This photo is absolutely NOT recent 😆

So in more important news, I’d love to find out where we’re going for coffee & cakes now?

Do you remember when we said something was coming…? 👀

Well, before my slightly dramatic announcement 😅

A huge thank you to my incredibly talented friend Jules over at for designing and building our brand new website 💻✨

Jules put so much time, care, and creativity into it, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with how it’s turned out.

I’m gutted that it coincided with my health update and our closure but If you’re looking for someone to bring your ideas to life online, I couldn’t recommend her more!

Please go and show Jules and some love, you won’t regret it 💛

I don’t think I’ll ever find the right words for today!

It was so lovely to see everyone and I am so grateful for the love, the flowers, the well wishes, the help and more love. Another huge Thank you to Sam, Jamie & Sarah from Your help has been invaluable to us this week. So grateful for our staff too who have worked incredibly hard this past week. I love you all so much 💕

Also I can’t let this opportunity pass without a massive thank you to Pam. Me and Pam set up the bake house together in 2020 and I honestly couldn’t have done it without her. Pam retired from being a director of the company late last year so she could concentrate on our baking and being the best Grannie in the world but she has always been a massive part of the Bake House and I wanted to acknowledge that. Love you forever Pammy.

A last thank you to my friends and family who helped with the big clean tonight!

Now for a brew and a big relax this weekend before I have surgery on Tuesday. Big love, Lucy xx

We’re very sad to hear that Lucy’s Little Bake House will be closing its doors at the end of this month.

Since opening here in January last year, Lucy has brought so much warmth to Dean Clough. A friendly face, a great coffee and her brilliant baking quickly made it a place people returned to.

Her last day will be Thursday 30th April.

If you can, please do pop in over the next week or so. Whether it’s for your usual or just to wish her well, it would mean a lot.

Hi everyone,

After a lot of thought, I need to share some very difficult news. News which I never wanted to share.

Lucy’s Little Bake House will be closing its doors at the end of April. This is because I’ve recently been diagnosed with stage 4 bowel c-ancer 💔

I need to step away from the business and focus all of my time and energy on treatment and being with my beautiful family.

Our last day will be Thursday 30th April. Before then we are open as usual so please come and see us. I would love to see you!

Running this business and serving our Gorgeous customers for the past 7 years has meant the world to me. Your support, kindness, and loyalty over the years have helped make Lucy’s Little Bake House so special, and I will always be deeply grateful for every order, every visit, and every kind word.

Thank you for supporting my small business and for being part of this incredible journey.
