Never in my whole time of doing craft fairs have I ever come across somebody who puts so much Work into advertising a craft fair she’s an amazing young lady who works very hard i have just read through her email that I copied and paste please read though it she’s a very lovely person too………Dear Stallholders
MILTON ABBOT COUNTRY MARKET, SATURDAY, 10.30AM TO 3.00PM
Firstly, can I begin by thanking you all for supporting our first Country Market event. I know some of you have been before for our Craft Fair events and we very much appreciate this continued support.
I truly want the event to be successful for everyone and be able to run them again.
I have worked very hard on publicity and paid ads have gone into Tavi Times, Cornish and Devon Post, Western Morning News and Western Evening Herald, Tavy and Moor Links Magazines and our own South Tamar Mission Community Parish Magazine that covers 6 villages. Also, lots of Facebook advertising and on local council websites, noticeboards, flyers etc. Also, a road banner up at the school and we have a feather banner to put out on the road on the morning.
A few points for Saturday:
The church will be open from 9am on Saturday for setting up. You can drive and park all the way around the church and up the other side and also park on the main road opposite the church and by the village hall. Enter via the big lych gate up on the main road and follow the level tarmac path around to the back to main porch. There is one step there which we can put a small ramp out if you have a trolley to bring things in. There will be extra parking at the village school car park for visitors.
We will meet you inside church, and show you your pitch, but they will be labelled with your name.
No one has requested an electrical point. Until we get the new heating in, we only have a handful of power sockets, and they will mostly be taken up with the refreshments. If there is a problem with this, please do say before Saturday but keeping my fingers crossed it’s not needed.
We will be offering complimentary hot drinks throughout the day to stallholders. There will be soup, sandwiches, and home-made cake available to purchase to eat at the event for stallholders and customers. We reserve one area of the church for people to sit to eat and if the weather is dry, we can put some seats outside.
We do not currently have toilet facilities in the church but again that is on our big reordering plans for the church. However, we do have the use of the village hall toilets which includes one for disabled, which are in the green building adjacent to the church on the Tavistock side of the church.
Also, a gentle reminder for those who normally sell honey, I would be very grateful if you didn’t bring that with you this time as we have our own village honey producer. I know I have mentioned this on my initial contact, but just a reminder.
I have also obtained a TEN alcohol licence from West Devon Borough Council for those of you who are bringing alcohol. I didn’t want you to have the extra expense of this when you have been so good to support us.
Hopefully, your card readers will pick up signal in the village. We do not have internet in the church and rely on mobile signal. My O2 signal works ok with my SumUp reader. Also, our reader in church works but may be a bit slow but gets there. EE might be a problem.
I think that has covered everything. If you have any queries with the above, please do contact me as soon as possible.
Again, many thanks and look forward to seeing you all on Saturday.
Best wishes
