Itโs with a heavy heart and great sadness that after 10 happy years of trading we have to announce that the Blinok pancake house in Guiseley will not be reopening and will be permanently closed.
The replacement of the floor structure we were promised was not completed to a satisfactory standard suitable for our customers. Despite our best efforts to rectify this problem and negotiate our position with the landlord it became untenable.
The Guiseley cafe has always had a special place in our heart. It was our first cafe and we felt part of a local community with so many lovely customers, many of whom have become good friends. This made the Guiseley pancake house feel like home with a family of loyal customers that have always supported us through thick and thin. Over the years we have had amazing conversation, love, laughter and of course good gossip! ๐
We enjoyed giving many young people a first start in employment and have great memories of all the trials and tribulations that entailed! Itโs very satisfying to see many of these young people go on to higher education and pursue interesting careers.
I will be forever grateful to the staff that have worked with us over the years and worked so hard to make our business a success.
We will now regroup and focus all our efforts on the Blinok Pancake house in Otley. We will retain all our current staff some of which with slightly adjusted work patterns.
We are very sorry to let down our Guiseley customerโs that have enjoyed visiting us and were looking forward to us reopening. We genuinely hope to still see many of those familiar faces walk through our door at the cafe in Otley and keep the conversation, love, laughter and of course good gossip alive!!! ๐
On the street in Guiseley we once over heard a conversation with a young boy and his friend that said - โis that the pancake lady?โ โWhereโ โlook thereโ โwow, the pancake lady is realโ
๐ Very much so!!
All our very best,
Team Blinok
