One of my favourite things about creating bespoke cakes is starting with a client's ideas and watching them come to life.

For this 30th wedding anniversary cake, my lovely client drew inspiration from a beautiful pink Charbonnel et Walker chocolate box, with soft blush tones, pearls, gold details and peonies.

From that first conversation to seeing the cake displayed at the celebration and finally being cut by the happy couple, it was lovely to see the whole story come together.

A colourful crafting-themed cake for a very creative little boy’s 6th birthday 🎨✂️✨

This one was such a fun cake to make, packed with handmade fondant details inspired by all his favourite crafty things, from pencils and paint brushes to scissors, tape and little paper rolls. Finished with a handcrafted fondant figurine sitting right on top, it felt playful, personal and full of character.

And with its larger size, it was definitely made for a big birthday celebration too ❤️

Made for a 70th birthday, bringing together those little details that mean something,music, books, and everything in between. I always love creating these kinds of cakes, where every element has a story behind it.

Finished in deep black with soft gold detailing for a look that feels classic, a little bold, and just right for the occasion.

A soft, understated design for a very special occasion 🤍

This gluten-free baptism cake was designed with a gentle, muted palette. Soft blush tones, warm ivory, and subtle gold details to keep everything feeling calm and elegant.

Finished with delicate dried florals and a handwritten topper, keeping the overall look refined but still personal.

The sponge itself is light, soft and moist, not the kind of texture people often associate with gluten-free cakes. Filled with homemade lemon curd and lemon meringue buttercream, fresh and balanced without being overly sweet.

A soft, crochet-inspired cake for a 60th birthday 🧶

The colours were chosen to reflect what Claire loves, and everything else followed from there, yarn, hook, and the measuring tape detail around the base.

It’s one of those designs where the idea is quite simple, but when the colours and details come together nicely, it just feels right 💛
