Sourdough Bread-Making Class

Discover the art of traditional sourdough baking in this hands-on and enjoyable class and learn the essential skills and techniques to create beautiful, flavourful sourdough bread from scratch.

Cost: £50pp

A warm welcome with refreshments on arrival

Step-by-step guidance on sourdough starters, kneading, proving, and baking

Tips and techniques to perfect your loaf at home

Tasting session featuring freshly baked sourdough varieties

Your own sourdough starter and loaf to take home

Perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to refine their baking skills in a relaxed, friendly environment.

The workshop will take place 28th October @ 6.30pm, will run for approx 2 hours and will take place in Tonino's To Go on Grey Place.

Thanks to all those who attended Tuesday's workshop and of course to Tonino's Pizzeria for providing the workspace.

In case I haven't mentioned it I love sourdough bread in its many shapes and forms and it's a great pleasure to be able to pass on the skills involved. Making sourdough is not only a skill, it's creative, fun, therapeutic and has many health benefits. The workshop provides a forum to bring people together to learn the skills in a fun and interactive way.

I will be organising some more workshops over the coming weeks. Dates and time to be confirmed.

Due to the success of the last workshop I am planning a further sourdough workshop for 22nd July @ 6.30pm. The workshop will run for approx 2 hours and will take place in Tonino's To Go on Grey Place.

The cost of the workshop will be £50 per person and will include glass of wine on arrival, opportunity to learn the technique and skills to make your own sourdough at home. You will take away some bread and starter to enjoy and help you with your own sourdough journey.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Tony at Tonino's Pizzeria for donating the space to allow me to run my first sourdough workshop, it was much appreciated...and of course to you lovely participants who attended to make it a successful night.

I hope you enjoyed taking part and learning the skills and techniques involved in making sourdough bread. Now that you have gone home with your own starter I look forward to hearing and seeing your results.
