Well… the first ever Unpredictaquiz is DONE! 🎉

And I think we can safely call it a success!

A massive thank you to all 8 teams who came along tonight, threw themselves into six completely random rounds and helped make our first night such a brilliant one.

It was ridiculously close too… there were only 10 points between 1st and last place! So nobody was running away with it, and nobody was getting absolutely annihilated either 😂

A huge thank you to The King’s Arms for letting us take over the space and giving The Unpredictaquiz a home.

I’ve had some genuinely lovely feedback tonight, as well as some really useful constructive criticism, all of which I’ll be taking on board as we tweak, improve and figure out exactly what works best.

Most importantly, I hope everyone had fun. That was always the point: a quiz that’s competitive without being too serious, where you never quite know what’s coming next.

Thank you for supporting Ink & Icing by coming along too. Every team that takes part is helping us raise funds to create some very special cakes for people and causes who deserve something worth celebrating.

Hopefully we’ll see lots of you back next Wednesday, and maybe a few new faces too!

THE UNPREDICTAQUIZ starts TONIGHT!
And this photo quiz is just a little taste of the sort of nonsense you can expect.

6 completely random rounds, changing every week – and the round themes don’t necessarily tell you what’s coming.
For example if the theme is 'BLUE' you could get questions on blue whales, the band Blue, blue cheese or blue flowers. Anything goes.

No specialist subjects. No need to be an expert in anything. Just bring a team with a good mixture of random knowledge and see what happens!

And with that, the Ink & Icing launch is DONE!

It felt a little quieter than we’d hoped at times, but bloody hell, those of you who showed up REALLY showed up.

A huge, heartfelt thank you to every single person who came along today. Whether you bought raffle tickets, had a go on the tombola or games, bought cakes or trinkets, made a donation, stopped for a chat or simply came along to support what we’re trying to do, thank you.

Another enormous thank you to all the wonderful local businesses and individuals who donated prizes. We genuinely couldn’t have put today together without your generosity.

And then there are the absolute legends who came along “for a bit” and somehow ended up staying, being given jobs and basically helping run the entire bloody thing. 😂 You know who you are. Today wouldn’t have been half as successful without you.

Because somehow...
WE RAISED £857.50!

I’m genuinely very overwhelmed writing that.

When Ink & Icing started as a slightly bonkers idea to raise money so we can create incredible cakes for deserving people, charities and good causes, I had no idea how today would go.

£857.50 is one hell of a jumping-off point.

That’s money sitting in the Ink & Icing pot ready to turn butter, sugar, fondant and a frankly unreasonable amount of flour into some very special memories.

And this is only the beginning.

You could spend a few pounds on raffle tickets this Saturday and go home with THIS lot…

And this is only some of what we’ve got up for grabs! We’ve been absolutely spoilt with brilliant prizes donated by some fantastic local businesses, attractions and brands.

Every raffle ticket, tombola go, cake bought and game played helps us build the Ink & Icing pot, so we can create showstopping cakes for deserving people, charities and good causes.

And because apparently winning prizes isn’t enough bribery, the first 25 people to buy raffle tickets or have a go on the tombola get a FREE cupcake too. 🧁

THREE DAYS TO GO!

With the holidays coming to an end come and beat the blues with us. We've got cake, droids, balloons, prizes and the possibility of leaving covered in glitter. Who knew?

This Saturday we’re finally launching Ink & Icing, and we’d absolutely love to see you there.

There’ll be a huge cake sale, raffle, tombola, games and challenges, plus The Balloon Man, Norwich Droids and face glitter. You can also come and find out more about Ink & Icing and nominate a brilliant person or good cause to receive one of our showstopping cakes.

We’ve got 300+ tombola prizes, a cake sale, a balloon artist, raffle, games, Norwich Droids and the chance to nominate someone who deserves an epic cake.
