This is the class of 1978 just as they were about to leave. They would be first year students when we were there - do you recognise any of them ?

Sorry to pass on the bad news but teacher John Preston has died. He always treated us fairly and we all respected him.
If you want to say farewell, his funeral service is at the crematorium on Thursday 24 August at 13:30.

We had some ropey teachers during our time at the Central but one of the best was John Preston. He's pictured here with Paul Johnson, Robert Holland, Paul Davidson and Roger Church.

What an honour to meet our former teacher John Preston today at Ropsley Heath Light Railway . John is 91 years old now and it's 47 years at least since he's seen old pupils Roger Church, Paul Johnson and Paul Davidson.

Just heard that Gez's funeral is on 22nd February at 11.30 at the Crem (unconfirmed). I guess there are restrictions due to Covid.
