Not everyone reaches for a candle during the warmer months, which is why wax melts are the perfect summer fragrance choice. ☀️

Designed to effortlessly scent your home, my handcrafted wax melts can be used in a tea light burner or electric warmer, gently releasing fragrance as the wax melts. The result? A beautifully scented space without the need to burn a candle for hours.

One of the most popular comments I receive is how long lasting my melts are compared to others, and it’s true; each melt gives up to 10 hours fragrance time, and there are six melts in a pack.

Today was a good day 💖

Last week I confessed to having had some troubles with my mental health interfering with my small business. I received so many warm, kind, encouraging messages from you that really blew me away; thank you so much.

It shifted my perspective; look for the small wins. Every day, find three things that have been good, however tiny.

I saw this brilliant Sales Map from and just knew this would be a great idea for where I’m at.

When I started to see that orders have now reached almost every part of the U.K. honestly… that feels emotional to even say out loud. I don’t think I’ll ever fully process how special that feels.

This business holds so much of my heart, and seeing it reach homes in so many different places honestly means more than I could ever put into words.

I’m so grateful, and this has firmly brought back my belief in myself and my little business, and it’s all down to YOU - thank you! 💖

I am proud to use a plant-based wax in my candles and wax melts; all products are created with a pure blend of rapeseed and coconut wax.

This wax doesn’t get the tunnelling issues that soy wax gives, it’s very forgiving, if it hasn’t burnt all the way to the edges in the first few burns it absolutely will by the end!

It’s also great for giving a gorgeously clean burn, meaning you can experience the stunning quality of the fragrance oils exactly how they are meant to be smelled.

My fragrance choice for January…… is Breathe 🌿

I don’t know about you but in these dark Winter months I feel so stuffy, all the heating and being indoors, my sinuses and my head are just permanently foggy and the darkness makes me feel so sleepy.

Having Breathe around my house genuinely helps revive me a little. Invigorating peppermint & eucalyptus to really awaken the senses. This fragrance has a high essential oil content so be sure to seek medical advice before using when pregnant.

🌱 Happy New Year my lovelies! 🤍

For me, January is not about new starts and goals at all. Leaning into the mindset that it is still the middle of Winter and resting and getting cosy and living in slow motion is what I’m focusing on right now!

I have decided to put new Reed Diffusers in various rooms in my house though, as a way to invigorate the space, (hibernating is not festering! 😆), and I just love The Coastal Path for this. It’s such an uplifting, fresh and pretty fragrance. I’ve also put out Breathe, Velvet Grace and Mountain Cedar (in case you were wondering!)

The Coastal Path - marine + rose (delicate enough for a bedroom)
Breathe - peppermint + eucalyptus (fresh bathroom vibes)
Velvet Grace - peony + oud (warm cosy floral vibes)
Mountain Cedar - cedarwood + jasmine (grounding rejuvenating vibes)

Ah twixmas, I always love this period. A chance to really slow down after the chaos of the Christmas build up and Christmas Day itself. I plan on living in slow-motion, a very useful technique to try if you’re feeling overwhelmed, reading my books and getting some fresh air, and very little else before I’m back to (other) work on Tuesday.

I hope you all had a gorgeous Christmas. I’ve received some lovely messages this year from customers who have been new recipients of my candles, and I’ve been so happy to hear how loved they are - thank you!

Somehow it’s been FOUR whole years today since I launched Olivia Michael Candle Co into the world! 🥳 what a ride it’s been so far…

I think this year is the one I’ve found the most challenging. Massively increasing supply costs and never ending fragrance regulation changes have been incredibly frustrating - I’ve felt like I’m constantly chasing my tail, it has felt like a barricade to my productivity and creativity for any future plans. I’ve been feeling so stuck to be totally honest.

In September, I’d pretty much decided I was going to close the business after Christmas. It was not bringing me joy anymore, instead it was bringing endless work hours, physical and financial stress and many emotional breakdowns. This was not what I had envisioned for my little quest!

But after experiencing another wonderful season with you guys, I know I’m not ready in my heart to let OM go yet. I’m so damn proud of my baby that I’ve built, and the connections with customers and fellow businesses around me; they honestly are the greatest part of this venture and I still can’t quite believe that people want to have my products in their homes.

So something needs to change next year, I’m not 100% sure what yet, but I know it has to for the sake of my health, my sanity and my eye wrinkles. But, I’m sticking around, and I’m forever grateful to you all; every like, every share, every message, every sale, thank you, I wouldn’t have made it to four years without you. ❤️

(And if there’s any excuse to shoehorn my favourite Christmas song in anywhere, I’ll do it 😆)
