🎄✨ Happy New Year! ✨🎄

As we stand at the beginning of a new year, we want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our wonderful customers for your custom, loyalty and support over the past few years. It truly has meant more to us than we can put into words.

We would also like to share that, for personal reasons, we have made the difficult decision to take a step back from cake making for the rest of this year. We are very sorry to have to do this and appreciate your understanding during this time.

Please be assured that all existing bookings will be fully honoured.

Thank you once again for being part of our journey and for all the kindness you have shown us along the way.

A Wee Cherry on Top recently had the honour of making this 4 tier wedding cake for the new Mr & Mrs Bird!

Each tier was made from a different sponge and all covered in white vanilla butter cream.

Handmade white fondant roses with fondant leaves were made in-house and were added along with the little Mr & Mrs bird cake toppers.

It's been a while since I've posted as things have been so busy here.

Just catching up -

Here is a wedding cake that I had the privilege of making for a lovely couple's wedding day!

This cake consisted of a variety of sponges as chosen by the couple, all wrapped in sculpted fondant icing. This cake also featured handmade fondant flowers that were coloured to match the theme of the wedding.

No matter how many cakes I've made over the years, I am always honoured that customers put their faith in *A Wee Cherry on Top* for their special day!

With Christmas fast approaching, the Elves at A Wee Cherry on Top are beginning to prepare batches of Christmas Cake!

Two sizes will be available - an 8 inch and a 6 inch cake.

Both will be a traditional rich fruit Christmas cake with marzipan and Royal icing (or fondant icing if preferred).

Prices will be:
6 inch - £20
8 inch - £30

If you'd like to order one for yourself or your family / friends please be sure to get your order in by the 11th November! Be advised it's collection only

Wedding Cake!

We recently made this simple yet elegant wedding cake for the new Mr and Mrs Anderson!

All of us at A Wee Cherry on Top were honoured to be a wee part of your special day and wish you a lifetime of happiness together!

On to the cake:

This three tier cake was made from different sponges on each layer, with all of them covered in a scraped vanilla buttercream for a semi-naked cake finish.
The semi-naked cake finish is ideal if you prefer less icing on a cake or just like the style.
Decorated using real roses, chrysanthemums and decorative foliage.

Bottom Tier: Victoria Sponge with a raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream filling.
Middle Tier: Lemon drizzle with a lemon curd and vanilla buttercream filling.
Top Tier: Chocolate orange sponge with a chocolate orange ganache filling.

Flowers supplied by Flowers by Lamb, Dalkeith.
