This is the first time I’ve made a horseshoe shaped cake and I love the story behind it - it was made to reflect the same style of cake that one of the bride’s parents had for their wedding. I think the final black and white photo really gives it the vintage feel.

It was so difficult to get a good photo of this wedding cake for brides Violet and Abbie because there was so much sun shining through the ‘tent’ windows. Hopefully the professional photographer will have been able to get better shots for me. The gorgeous burgundy flowers were perfectly framed by all of the black foliage.

My customer provided the image for the top, so my design reflected the style of cake in his picture.

Personalised Toppers also created a stand up topper to match so that Jo had a keepsake to remind her of her 50th birthday.

As well as the three tiered wedding cake for Sharon and Joe, I also made these wedding favours with marbled cream and orange fondant icing, embossed with Mr & Mrs McGarry. The biscuits were a mixture of shortbread and ginger.

The personalised labels on the back of the bags were supplied by Personalised Toppers.

I love everything about this cake. The colours chosen by the bride and groom looked stunning. The silk flowers look so realistic and matched the overall theme really well.

Flavours were Cherry Bakewell on the bottom, red velvet in the middle and chocolate on the top.
