So that’s what happened…..

Last night’s weather was not just a bit of rain and a moody sky. Somerset was hit by 18,540 lightning strikes, with Glastonbury and Street among the places dealing with the aftermath.

There were power cuts, flooding reports and disruption to local shops, because apparently the week before an extreme heat warning needed a warm-up act.
