Imagine celebrating a birthday and being surprised with cupcakes inspired by the pets you absolutely adore. 🐾
The kind of thoughtful gift that instantly makes you smile because it's so personal, completely unexpected and makes the celebration feel even more special.
A few weeks ago, I was asked by lovely Vicky from Blackbird Eleven and my fellow Glasglow Girls Club to create cupcakes for her friend Angie’s 50th birthday 🥳
When I asked about the design, I found out she wanted the birthday girl's beloved pets turned into cupcakes. 😺🐶🐾
Safe to say, this quickly became one of the 𝘾𝙐𝙏𝙀𝙎𝙏 cupcake orders I've made lately! 😍
I was instantly excited about the idea, but at the same time a little bit nervous. Character cupcakes aren't something I make every day, and I really wanted to do them justice…. 𝙊𝙁 𝘾𝙊𝙐𝙍𝙎𝙀 😅
I was sent a few photos for inspiration and told there was absolutely 𝙉𝙊 𝙋𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙎𝙐𝙍𝙀 for them to look exactly the same. But of course, once I saw those adorable faces, I wanted to recreate them as closely as I could 😊
After a lot of colour mixing, I finally managed to colour match the dog's fur almost perfectly and did a little happy dance in my kitchen.💃🏽😁🎉
Once all the tiny piping details were added, the cupcakes really started to come to life. 😍
Honestly, I'm so pleased with how they turned out, and even more importantly, the customer loved them too. For which I couldn’t be happier about🥰
