Emma popped in last week for another one-to-one lesson, and this time she wanted to try a Toy Story theme! We worked on decorating with both buttercream and fondant, and honestly, look how well she did 👀

I've had the pleasure of making many cakes for this family over the years, including, business milestones and their wedding cake, so getting to make their daughter's first birthday cake is really special to me 💕 Happy 1st birthday Matilda! She is a little dream!

I'm delighted these are really taking off, because it combines both of my passions... teaching and cakes!

Not your average kids party 🎨🧁
Whether it's in a hall or I come straight to you, the kids get hands-on with decorating their own cakes, giggling with their pals the whole way through.

There's something so lovely about watching them hold up their creation at the end, so proud of what they made.
That's the bit I love most. Not just the cake, the memories made along the way.

Round two with this one! 📚🏹
I made this birthday girl a Hunger Games cake last year too, so this time I had to switch things up completely. She's a huge fan of the series (like, obsessed!), so I wanted to do it justice.

The book spines are edible images and the pages are hand cut wafer paper, layered up to look like a real stack of books mid read. Topped it off with a hand painted arrow because what's Katniss without her bow.
14 looks good on her. Hope the cake did the books justice! 🖤
