Life update! 🎂📚
I've put off making this video for ages, but here goes. I'm taking a 9 month sabbatical from teaching to focus on Shadz Cakes and my family.

I've been a teacher for 16 years and I love my job and my school kids. But between custom cakes, markets, kids' parties, workshops and 1:1 lessons, I've been juggling a lot. I'm excited, a little nervous, and ready for a better work life balance. 💛

This cake was for Struan's 6th birthday and I had so much fun with it. Weathered grey buttercream, hand-made silver and gunmetal gears, a Decepticon badge and a rusty, battle-worn Megatron plaque on top.

another box of personalised cupcakes, this time for Holly to celebrate her mum's 60th 🌸

Holly always puts so much thought into her briefs, and this one was a joy. flowers, wild swimming, nature, family, yoga, therapy and her mum's favourite colours, all in one box.
