The cherries have won me over. The cinnamon combo has lost its place. 🍒

You voted for cinnamon, I baked it, and then I baked it again without. This is why we test things.

The version that made me want another slice:

🤎 Brown butter cake - nutty, buttery, toasted
🍫 Dark chocolate ganache - deep cocoa richness
🍒 Cherry compote - juicy, jammy, with a tang from the fruit and lemon
🤍 Mascarpone cream whip - soft, mellow creaminess

The cherries have enough depth to hold their own against the dark chocolate, while that sharpness lifts the richness.

And from someone who used to avoid cherries in cake: that almondy flavour I was dreading? None of that here. Just a fruity little tang I wanted in every spoonful.

Introducing our newest flavour: Nobody Puts Berry in the Corner 🫐

Yes, that’s her name. And she’s bringing quite a lot to the table.

Vanilla bean sponge layered with blueberry Greek yoghurt whip, blueberry curd and white chocolate vanilla bean ganache.

🫐 Flavour notes: soft vanilla, mellow berry and fresh yoghurt tang. A brighter blueberry hit from the curd, rounded off with creamy white chocolate and lingering vanilla.

I put the polls up, handed over the decisions… and somehow you’ve come back with a flavour combination that I’m genuinely VERY excited to make.

Cake. Fruit. Filling. Extras.
All chosen by you.

Now I get the slightly more complicated job of turning it into an actual cake 😂

I’ll be testing it very soon and, if it tastes as good as it sounds, it’ll be making its way into the next little slice drop.

I’m revealing the flavour combination on Stories today, go and have a look and tell me if you’d order a slice. 👀

I wanted to make something that felt like Cuppa Cake, not just showed you the cakes.

So I wrote it, filmed it, baked everything, edited it… and somehow recruited my family and friends into the production too.
