It's officially my 10th birthday August 2023....how I got the name οΏ½
April Cottage Cakery was born as a hobby page originally in 2012. The name came about when I was racking my brain, then a friend suggested maybe something a bit more personal maybe a memory or loved one. When I was 18 my dad passed away at the very young age of 47. I alway remember him saying when I was young that when he retired

he would love to have a wee cottage somewhere and he would call it April Cottage. So April 2012 my dad would have been 70 so probably when he would have retired so it just seemed perfect. I continued making cakes for family and friends and loved it so much I decided sometime in the future I would love to turn it into a business.......I officially made that plunge in August 2013 and love the flexibility of being my own boss and working from home giving me more time with my 2 boys...... So that's the story behind the name as people often call me April but it's actually Sharon. April Cottage Cakery is in honour of my Dad, love and miss you always # # #
