A BUSY couple of days coming up for the lodge.

On Friday evening, we are hosting a RAP Degree in the halls starting at 7:15pm. New candidates and those involved directly are requested to be in attendance by 7pm. All visitors are welcome to attend.

Then come on down for a hearty breakfast on Saturday at our monthly Breakfast Morning with low prices for big appetites and a massive welcome from friendly faces.
Come on down if you are able .

On a recent visit, the RWCGM and County Grand Secretary were pleased to attend a meeting of Jehovah Jireh LOL 246 in Rutherglen, District 20.

Joining us on the evening were Worthy District Master Brother Bell, County Grand Secretary of Belfast Brother McMichael, and Brother Hagen PM of LOL 1053. Our friends from Northern Ireland were present to uphold and strengthen the long-standing bond of friendship between Star of the North LOL 1053 Ballyhackamore and LOL 246 Rutherglen —a relationship that has proudly endured for over a century.

The meeting was conducted in a warm and fraternal atmosphere, reflecting the strength and unity of the Institution across districts and countries alike.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Worthy Master, Office Bearers, and members of LOL 246 for their generous hospitality and thoughtful gifts—it was very much appreciated.

As a side note, the lodge hosts a popular Big Breakfast event on the first Saturday of each month in Rutherglen Orange Hall, in support of their upcoming 150th anniversary celebrations. All are welcome, so if you can, be sure to get along this Saturday and show your support.

Last night at Jehovah Jireh Lol246’s monthly meeting they were greeted with an array of distinguished visitors; Bro Ian Bell, Worthy District Master; Bro Thomas Hagen, Past Master LOL 1053; Bro Mark Kirkland, Most Worthy County Grand Master of Glasgow; Bro Marc Reilly, County Grand Secretary of Glasgow & Bro Paul McMichael, County Grand Secretary of Belfast.

Bro Hagen & Bro McMichael’s visit marks a continued friendship between LOL 246 & Star of the North LOL 1053 from Ballyhackamore, Belfast which dates back to over a century including in 2023 when the whole of LOL 1053 traveled to participate in our Boyne celebrations as part of their 125th anniversary celebrations.

The friendship has shown fantastic memories, great relationships between both lodges and traditions which carry forward to new generations.

LOL 246 have a very busy week coming up with an RAP Degree on Friday evening and their monthly Big Breakfast on Saturday morning. All visitors will be welcome to join them on both occasions

This Saturday 2nd May we have our monthly Breakfast Morning upon us again ..
There's also the
36th Ulster Division Memorial Association parade in town at 12pm...
Why not come along and start your day off right. Come and enjoy a full breakfast, however you like it , then walk the calories off in town at the parade..

Either way everyone is welcome, so if you're hungry and fit and able to do so why not come down to the 20 social club next Saturday ...

Just a reminder for anyone interested in attending, that Rutherglen Campsie anniversary parade accompanied by Rutherglen Bluebell Flute Band is this Saturday 18th April .. Leaving Cathcart Place then onto Cathcart Road, Burnhill Street, Mill Street, Greenhill Road, Stonelaw Road, Main Street, Burnhill Street, Cathcart Road, Cathcart Place, leaving at 1.30pm after the SAC meeting.

Sister Thomson Memorial LLOL 173 are holding a cultural afternoon this coming Saturday 11th April.
