It's been a while since I have had the opportunity to make a cake, seems like there are always a million and one things that get in the way but that's just life i guess. So, not only did the opportunity present itself, but how proud to be able to make a birthday cake for my beautiful son Jack, who turned 3 today. You are an absolute breath of fresh air, your little personality and general lust for life make me the proudest man in the world. The last few years have been somewhat of a roller coaster, but seeing you grow and watching you develop is the best tonic. Please keep being you and never stop being that little tornado 🌪. I love you to the moon and back ❤️ ♥️ xx

So, as Jack keeps reminding me 'I like diggers and dinosaurs dad'. I took the hint and this one is for you son....... Happy birthday Jack Brown, from everyone that loves you dearly xx

It's nice to keep my hand in when I can......rather elegant looking cake with delicate piped roses. Not as flamboyant as many of my previous cakes, but I really like it 🥰

Well folks, it's that time again....... voting for the upcoming Scottish Baker of the year 2019. I would be extremely grateful if you could all take a couple of minutes out of your busy day and please vote for Briar Bakery. This year, I am looking to enter my chocolate cake, my dark chocolate and salted caramel tart and my brownies. All of which can be seen in our photographs, however hopefully many of you have tasted these and will instantly drool at the thought 😁.

If you can vote for your favourite, and by hopefully entering 3 products this year we can show the judges what we are made of!!

A stunning wedding cake for a lovely bride and groom, with a green and silver theme at the bride's request. Wicker basket piping on the bottom later really sets it off I think. Here is to many more beautiful sweet delights coming in the future from Briar Bakery.

It's been a while, but here we ha e a beautiful wedding cake made by yours truly for a rather special wedding. Beautiful ombre colouring, finished with white chocolate hearts and basket on top. Looks as good as it tastes. Getting back into the swing of things again after some time out, with the future holding many, many delicious delights the Briar Bakery way. Spread the word 👍👍

A beautiful cake made especially for a beautiful baby girl on her christening. This one was special indeed, and fitting for such an occasion

Just the latest delight, a Christmas chocolate Yule log with a cherry and mascarpone filling, dark chocolate leaves and mushrooms made from meringue, all covered in a fluffy light chocolate butter icing. Everything edible and made the Briar Bakery way.
