Carrick Cakes update ……….I no longer own the shop at 25 Hamilton Street, Girvan.
The chance to “offload” the shop came along and I jumped at it.
The massive recent increases in utility bills makes it very difficult to maintain a profitable small business in a shop nowadays.
With increased responsibilities in my South Ayrshire job as well as my elderly parents needs I decided I will return to a “ bake from home” business.
I have been in the shop for 11 years but I started baking from my home as a registered business 35 years ago.
I am no longer making birthday cakes.
All bookings in the diary for wedding cakes in 2025 are secure and I will continue the business of Carrick Cakes as a wedding cakes only supplier.
I had many, many happy times in the shop and must thank Rachel Lees, Ellie Crawford and Summer Kennedy for the amazing help over the years.

Finished in the rustic buttercream style with flecks of 24 carat gold leaf to accent the fresh flowers from Kirsties Flowers.
All set up ( between the crazy winter showers) at Lochgreen Hotel x

Rustic style single tier chocolate cake with chocolate fudge filling decorated with beautiful woodland greenery.
100 cupcakes in vanilla/raspberry, carrot/orange, red velvet and chocolate/white chocolate flavours.
All set up at the stunning Dalduff Wedding Barn x
