Good morning everyone. I hope you’ve all recovered from Christmas and the New Year. It’s certainly been a damp and depressing January hasn’t it?
We’re all back from various holidays and breaks and are raring to go!
Honestly!!
Amy has been baking up a storm. We’ve had egg custard on the menu sporadically for quite some time but now it’s just flying out so it’s become one of our staples. I must say that after a “quality control test” (heehee) I can say with authority that “it’s bloomin’ lovely”.
I know that a lot of shops try different things to sell. Amy loves having a go at new cakes. She’s rather good at it, I must say!! But we do tend to stay with the classics. They are classic for a reason. They remain popular because they WORK.
We tend to stay away from faddy trends. We’re lucky enough that we don’t need to. If Amy fancies having a go at something new then we all benefit- all the girls try it- just to make sure it’s good, of course lol!!
