FoRGPS (Parent Teacher and Friends Association) is a charitable organisation (charity no. 1050183) run wholly by volunteers, comprising parents, grandparents and friends of the pupils at RGPS. Through partnership with the School we aim to enhance our children’s school experience by organising events and through funding special projects. We appreciate people may work and have other commitments and

cannot always commit to regular volunteering, but could you help with the following jobs when you are available:

photocopy flyers* help on a stall at an event * bake a cake * distribute event posters * secure donations * run a club * raise sponsorship * shop * help organise special projects * use your professional skills to help with the management of the committee * provide ideas for events and fundraising

We have been successfully included in the next round of the Tesco Fruit and Veg Grants Programme and our project to re-develop the outdoor yard area of our primary school involving the creation of a large sandplay zone for the children will be put to a customer vote in both; 2562 Rowlands Gill Express Tesco Express store, NE39 1PY and 6606 Whickham Front Street Tesco Express store, NE16 4DS.

You can vote with the blue discs that are given out or available to use in store with each purchase. Voting will commence in stores week commencing Monday, 3rd August 2026 until the end of November 2026.

The project with the highest number of votes across the region will receive £1,500, the second placed project £1,000, and the third placed project £500.

Please support us by voting in Tesco and share this with friends and family and encourage them to vote for us too.

Thank you to Rowlands Gill TESCO for the generous donation of water and fruit to support pupils and staff during this hot weather period that we are experiencing and on our sports day which was held on Monday.

Were so excited for tomorrows fair !

Weve got some amazing stalls and games

Cant wait to have Animals About Town, Mobile Petting Farm, weve got free smores in our forest School area and our resident Ice Cream Van here too .

We have our summer fair coming up in June, if anyone has any tombola prizes or teddy's/toys to donate please drop into the school office. Thank you for the continued support in raising money for the school 😀 please drop after the half term, it's only a couple weeks after for the fair
