A lego brick cake ❤️

Another one that appears quite simple but is actually quite tricky! A chocolate sponge filled with whipped chocolate ganache, fondant covered (the hard bit!) and decorated with fondant Lego bricks, and an icing birthday message. A fully edible cake.

A cake of sophisticated elegance (and lots of chocolate!) 🥰

This was an 8” chocolate sponge filled with whipped chocolate ganache and covered in white chocolate ganache. Decorated with artificial lilies, name and age charms and a few gold sprinkle touches. Definitely a cake where I had to stop myself from adding anything else to let the simplicity shine through!

A 6” vanilla sponge filled with vanilla swiss meringue buttercream and jam and decorated with berry’s and a personalised topper.

This cake is one of those that looks simple enough, but actually has a couple of aspects to it that are never quite that!

Any cake with a deep or vibrant coloured buttercream will have taken some extra work and this one was navy creating that lovely dark night sky effect.

And then hand piped writing - not my best skill! I often go for stencilled instead but I felt with this one it needed to be hand written. Lots of practises later and I braved it on the cake!

A chocolate sponge filled with whipped chocolate ganache. Buttercream covered and decorated with sprinkles and lots of shimmery edible glitter! ✨

Sometimes classic simplicity is just right!

Anniversary gin themed cake 💚

Catching up after a bit of a summer break!
This 25th anniversary cake was an 8” vanilla sponge filled with vanilla buttercream and jam. Buttercream covered and decorated with chocolate bars and hearts, miniature bottles of the couple’s favourite tipple, some piping in green and pink (the colours from their wedding) and of course some silver touches for their silver anniversary 🩶

A vanilla sponge filled with vanilla buttercream and jam, shaped and fondant covered to look like their leavers hoody with all their names on the board.
