Just-A-Cake is no longer - sadly I’ve hung up my apron so no more cake orders taken, no more classes and demonstrations. I shall never give up baking beautiful cakes but not as a business.

The inspiration behind my latest cake for Lakeland, Canterbury was having been asked so many times, mostly by grooms-to-be, "how do we cut the cake, is it from the top down?" It is now on show in their window as from today, with my watering can cake "how does your garden grow?" cake in store. Hope you like this new design.

Noahasaurus, the friendly Dino was made from rice crispie modelling mixture as my grandson Noah wanted a gigantic Dino! The chocolate gluten free cake was decorated with ‘Dino poo’ (chocolate raisins), fondant bones and fondant covered cream eggs - everything a 4 year old would like!

Another busy day in the Just-A-Cake kitchen. I never stop baking but this weekend I have two birthday cakes for two family members’ Lockdown birthdays. Hoping a Special cake will make these children’s birthdays a little brighter without their friends and family coming to their parties.
