So, I'm no longer trading, but do still make the odd cake for family that I thought I'd share. I haven't done any cakes for months, but this month I've made a couple....

The first was this three tier cake for my Mum and Dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary a few weekends ago (when it was roasting hot 😫). They also had a separate fruit cake. The tiers were chocolate, lemon and vanilla, all covered in ganache and fondant. Decoration was left to me 😊 so I finally opened the rosette mould I bought a couple of years ago and never used! I have so many moulds and cutters still brand new in their packets 🙈

My ideal cake this weekend, chocolate EVERYTHING! 😋😋😋

Six layers of rich chocolate sponge, chocolate buttercream and finished in milk chocolate ganache. Topped with all Cadbury's chocolates (I had to taste test some to make sure they were OK 😉).

This cake for Emma's 50th was made up of a chocolate bottom tier with choc buttercream and ganache, and a top tier of lemon sponge with lemon buttercream and white choc ganache. Decorated with lemon and chocolate macarons, crochet themed edible decorations, Wonder Woman logo and lots of edible glitter. Hope you had a lovely party Emma 🥳🎂🎉🥂

I've made a few cakes for Marina, and this year she wanted a chocolate cake with her favourite dolls. Six layers of chocolate sponge, filled with chocolate buttercream and covered in vanilla buttercream. Decorated with a white chocolate drip, lollipops, dolls (provided by mum), flumps, and assorted dragees. Topper also made by me 😊. Hope you have a fab gymnastics party Marina 🤸🏼‍♀️

This cake was six layers of chocolate sponge, chocolate buttercream between the layers and then covered in white chocolate buttercream (one of my faves 😋).

I had the privilege of making the cake for my grandad's 90th birthday a few weeks back. I used photos from across his lifetime, and then for the top tier I used silhouettes to tell his story from going off to the war, proposing to my lovely nan, marrying my nan, having their five children (the first three were triplets - one being my mum - which was rare in the 1950s!) and then him sitting with my nan. Sadly my nan is no longer with us, but I know she'd have loved it, especially the chocolate tier ❤. Top tier was lemon sponge, lemon buttercream and lemon curd, covered in white choc ganache and then sugarpaste painted a beautiful gold ###

I'm a bit behind with putting my latest bakes on (these are all for family or friends only). This was my son's cake from August. He's massively into motor racing and has a flair for karting so I made this chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and ganache. I also made the topper. It was bloody lovely 😋

It was my nieces birthday yesterday, but she had a little party last weekend. She requested an Ariel cake with a pink board. I aim to please (and of course it was covered in edible glitter!) 😃. I also dug out my Cricut and created the topper. I didn't realise how easy they actually are! Will be using it a lot more for the few cakes I now do👍🏻 xx

A 13th birthday cake for Megan. I've known Megan since she was at preschool with my son. I was asked for a rose gold themed chocolate cake. Six layers of chocolate sponge and chocolate buttercream. Finished in a coating of ganache, which was painted rose gold at the bottom, and decorated with chocolate dipped strawberries, macarons, chocolate drip and dragees. Topper and candles provided by mum. Happy 13th Megan 🎂🥳 xx
