Just a wee honest update from me ❤️

I’m not going to lie, I’ve really struggled with admin recently. My headspace hasn’t been the best and messages have felt like a much bigger mountain than they normally do.

The last few weeks have been a lot. We’ve lost four of our wee rats in such a short space of time, and today we said goodbye to Doris 🥲💔

Doris was one of my first two rats and, although apparently you’re not meant to have favourites… she was absolutely mine 😂❤️ She was my wee pal, and I’m honestly heartbroken.

I know to some people they’re “just rats”, but they were our pets, part of our family and very, very loved. Losing so many of them so close together has knocked me more than I expected.

Add that onto the back end of an absolutely ridiculous few months of cakes, workshops, kids, life and everything else, and my brain has basically gone ✨ absolutely not ✨

Cakes are still going out as normal and everything booked in is absolutely fine ❤️ It’s just the admin side of things where I’ve fallen behind.

So if you’re waiting on a reply from me, I’m really sorry. I’m going to work my way through everything, but I’m giving myself a wee bit of grace while I get my head back above water.

And if I’ve somehow missed you completely, please send me another message — you are fully permitted to give me a pissed-off wee nudge so you ping back to the top 🥰

Just a wee update from me ❤️

Sadly we lost both Betsy & Cookie today 🐀🌈💔 and honestly, I am devastated. My wee babies 😭❤️

So if I’m a bit slower than usual today, please bear with me. Between losing my babies and this being off the back end of an absolutely ridiculously busy weekend, my brain has officially left the building😵‍💫

All cakes/orders are still going out completely as normal — nothing booked in is affected at all! I’m still here, still baking, still keeping the cake chaos moving 😂🎂

I’ll be working through messages as soon as dinner time is finished ❤️

Thank you for always being so patient with my chaotic wee life 🥲😂❤️

The BIG Cupcake Workshop Day is officially OPEN for booking! 🥳🧁

📅 Sunday 27th September
📍 Kingsgate Shopping Centre, Dunfermline
💷 £12 per person — 4 cupcakes each!

🌊 10:30am – 12pm — Under the Sea
🧸 12:30pm – 2pm — Jellycat
💚 3pm – 4:30pm — SHREK

✨ Adults do NOT need a ticket if they’re just coming along to supervise — you only need to book a space for anyone taking part and decorating cupcakes!

Spaces are limited for each workshop and once they’re gone, they’re gone! 👀

After the feedback from our first workshops, we’ve gone BIGGER, BETTER and slightly more organised 😂 and I genuinely cannot wait for this one!!

📣 A wee diary/work update! 💖

Okay guys… the diary is officially JAM. PACKED. 😂🫠

Between now and 5th September, I genuinely cannot squeeze another cake in. And you KNOW what I’m like — I will normally look at an already ridiculous week and somehow convince myself “aye, I can fit that in” 😂 But we have officially reached NOPE. THERE IS NO ROOM.

We’re taking a little bit of very-needed time off at the start of September 🥰 Everyone whose orders are affected by this has already been contacted, so if you haven’t heard from me — don’t panic, your cake is safe 😂❤️

Once we’re back, mid to late September is already looking pretty full too, so if you know you need a cake for a particular date, PLEASE get in touch sooner rather than later!

I very rarely have to turn cakes away and I’ve had to say no to quite a few recently and honestly… it hurts ma wee soul every single time 😂😭

There’s also LOTS happening over the next couple of months 👀

We’ve actually changed a LOT behind the scenes recently to make things run better, make communication easier and generally make Betsy’s Cakes slightly less ✨feral✨ 😂

With the kids finally back at school, those changes should really start taking effect from next week and I’m SO excited to hopefully get back into a much better routine. 🥰

As always, thank you for keeping me this ridiculously busy. The fact I’m having to write a post saying PLEASE BOOK EARLY BECAUSE I HAVE NO SPACE is absolutely mental and I appreciate you all more than you know. ❤️
