Just a reminder that you can slice and freeze any leftover sourdough (especially 3+ days old). It's easier to slice thin when the bread is a few days old, it freezes and toasts extremely well and you can always have delicious sourdough ready to go 🙌😊❤️

The garden to-do list is long right now, and let’s be honest: it isn't glamorous. It’s cold, wet, windy, and very dirty. My muscles are sore and I’m exhausted.

​Yet, there is a deep, quiet satisfaction in the grit. It’s grounding. It clears my mind in a way nothing else can. While I’m digging through heavy soil in the rain, I’m seeing a vision of the months ahead—the abundance of spring and the harvest of summer. It’s a lesson in patience; knowing the work I do today, with a sore neck and cold hands, will pay dividends in the future.

​Gardening is a full spectrum kind of life. One minute it’s pouring, the next the sun breaks through. The list grows longer even as I tick things off, and I’m behind schedule with my garlic and bulbs... but then I look down. My chickens are at my feet keeping me company. I’ve just unearthed 5kg of forgotten carrots. I’ve shared a laugh with a neighbor passing by.

​I feel a sense of purpose here. I’m tired, yes, but I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. 🥕🐓

Christmas Eve is finally here! 🎄 It’s been a wild, busy, and sometimes overwhelming year, but I’ve loved every minute of the challenge.

​I'm officially hanging up the apron to enjoy some peace and quiet with my loved ones (well, after today's bake). I hope you all have a wonderful break. Here’s to reflection, relaxation, and a fantastic 2026 ahead! Merry Christmas! ❤️
