As we prepare for another week of baking, we'd like to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our customers—especially the many new faces who have discovered us recently.
It's been wonderful meeting so many people who share our passion for real food, traditional methods, and ingredients that have been carefully sourced and thoughtfully researched. Those conversations remind us why we started this journey in the first place.
Five years ago, we set out with a simple goal: to make honest bread and pastries using the very best ingredients we could find, without shortcuts and without compromise. That philosophy remains at the heart of everything we do today.
Over the years we've been fortunate to work with some fantastic restaurants and chefs, but the foundation of our business has always been our local customers. In fact, most people find us through word of mouth and we can think of no greater compliment than someone recommending us to their friends and family.
We're not trying to be a mass-market bakery we're building something with character and integrity. The customers who value that tend to become our strongest advocates and those are exactly the people who seem to be finding us.
We're not the biggest bakery and we're certainly not the most heavily advertised, but we're proud to still be here, still growing and still baking everything by hand with the same care and attention that we started with.
Some of you would have seen my new apprentice covered in flour loading our amazing French baguettes in the oven, especially those that come in to practice their French with him. 😅David, my partner and business partner whose passion, dedication and incredible attention to detail continue to drive the business forward. Many of the new items you've seen appearing on our menu recently have benefited from his careful development and determination to keep improving what we do.
