🎉🥪🍰 Wow… it’s been a buffet kind of week! 🍰🥪🎉

We started with helping to celebrate the retirement of Dr Gould with a buffet for 75 guests, alongside a special celebration cake. 🎂🎈

Wishing Dr Gould a very happy and well-deserved retirement – may it be filled with relaxation, adventure, and plenty of cake! 🥳🍾

Sunday saw a lovely family buffet out🥪🍓🧁

And then there was our very own little Mollie, who turned the grand old age of 7! 🎉🎁🎈

Her request? A picnic cake featuring a koala 🐨 and a rabbit 🐰 ... and why not indeed! When you're 7, anything is possible. 💕✨

The best part? Every single component of this cake was handmade with love and care. 🎂🩷 From the tiny details to the koala and rabbit.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our little kitchen adventures – we love being part of your celebrations, big and small. ❤️

A slightly quieter week for us in the kitchen this week before things get busy again 🍰✨

A scrummy fruit cake was made for an incredibly special occasion 🎂💛
How beautiful and amazing to reach 50 years of marriage — huge congratulations to them both 🥂💍✨

Then a little box of scrummyness went out for a very special son and daddy 🧁💙

We ended the week with a buffet for the lovely Kerry up at the SOS Sports Bar 🥪🍗🥗
If you’re ever looking for a venue with a great team to look after you, plenty of parking 🚗 and within walking distance of the Premier Inn and town centre, then that’s definitely the place for you ⭐️

🧁✨ WOW… WHAT A LOVELY DAY! ✨🧁

It was absolutely wonderful to be back at the Cake Hut and to see so many familiar faces — along with lots of lovely new ones too 😊

We really hope you all enjoyed the treats you purchased and perhaps even discovered a new favourite cake along the way 🍰💛

Thank you all so very much for your support, kindness and for popping by to see us. It honestly means the world to our little hut 🏡✨

We’re already looking forward to the next Cake Hut Day which will be:

During the summer we’ll be opening once a month, then once we reach September we’ll move to every other week ready for cosy cake season 🍂☕🧁

People ask me why I bake… 🍰

It’s for a few reasons really.
I love creating things — sadly I can’t knit or paint, but I can bake… and happily lose myself for hours making an edible lion, a giant cupcake or covering the kitchen in icing sugar 😅

But the best part?
Seeing the face of the person receiving the cake. That moment makes every late night, every wonky piping bag and every mountain of washing up worth it ❤️

I come from a family of feeders, so food has always meant love to me. Whether it’s a buffet table full of picky bits, a birthday cake, or just a slice shared with a cuppa — bringing people joy through food brings me happiness too.

We had 4 lovely celebrations last week and here they are 🎉🎂

🎂🧁 THE WAIT IS OVER… THE CAKE & BAKE HUT IS BACK! 🧁🎂

Well… it’s been a while hasn’t it? But on Saturday 16th May from 9am–3pm, the Cake & Bake Hut will officially be back open for business! 🙌

The hut has had a little refresh, a little sparkle, and is now ready once again to tempt your tastebuds 😋

The smell alone brings back childhood memories doesn’t it? The sort that seemed to take forever to bake while the whole kitchen smelt absolutely incredible 🤤

Now we all know life has become more expensive since the hut was last out a year ago… but we wanted to make sure everyone could still enjoy a sweet treat ❤️

So our prices are staying exactly the same:

💷 £2 per cake
💷 £4 per family size gypsy tart

Now then… Steve has completely lost count of the number of people asking about his famous “cheesy feet” 🦶🧀
(Which sounds slightly odd when written down doesn’t it? 😂)

But fear not… those cheesy little fellas will once again be making a triumphant return from the kitchen!

What a wonderful variety of creations have come out of the kitchen over the past couple of weeks!

From countless platters of buffet food (I’ve genuinely lost track!) to a whole range of celebration cakes, it’s been a real joy to be part of so many different occasions. I especially love seeing the different styles of cakes I’m asked to create including handcrafted little animals —each one unique and made for a special moment.

And of course, the large trays of bread pudding and Gypsy tarts have been going down an absolute treat at The Kent Neuro Centre. After all, you can’t beat a slice of cake with a good cuppa—these were gifted with love and very happily received.

What a couple of weeks of wonderfully varied cakes!

We kicked things off with a proper milestone — turning 18 🥳 (and yes… the Jack Daniel’s made a very welcome appearance 👀). Then on to Grandad Bill hitting 60 in style — clearly a man who enjoys a cheeky ciggy! 🚬

In between all that, there were oodles of pretty pink bakes for lots of lovely mums — because let’s be honest, you can never have too much pink or cake 💕

And then… a little tradition I truly treasure 💫
Logan! I’ve been making his birthday cake since he was 5, and every single year he hands me a wonderfully detailed drawing of what he’d like. Honestly, it’s one of my favourite challenges — I wait to see what he comes up with each year (no pressure Logan 😂).

Meanwhile, the lovely Kerry at SOS Sports Bar was rushed off her feet again — big match day meant buffet time! And just half a mile down the road, another buffet was delivered for Amy’s birthday celebrations. Busy, busy… just how we like it! 🎉

Managed to sneak in a bit of batch cake making for the lovely people at the Kent neuro therapy centre too. The Lemon and blueberry was a great hit
