🎂 A Little Update from Lushlooking Cakes 🎂

After years of creating carved and modelled cakes — from dragons and dinosaurs to handbags and heroes — we’ve made the decision to step back from this style of celebration cake.

It’s been a joy to bring your big ideas to life in sponge and sugarpaste, and we’re so grateful for every order, message, and milestone we’ve been part of. But as our focus shifts more towards layered celebration cakes, lush dessert trays, and our growing work with Coffee Lush and beyond — it’s time for a little evolution.

Thank you for your continued support and for cheering us on as Lushlooking Cakes enters its next (still very delicious) chapter 💛

Jessica’s Wild 18th – Gluten Free & Full of Personality!
Jessica had one epic vision for her birthday cake: leopard geckos, a whale shark, and it had to be gluten free. She gave us the brief and let us go wild — and this is the result!

A fun, fearless creation for an 18th worth remembering. Handmade geckos, a spotted shark, and plenty of bold vibes to match the birthday girl herself!

This beauty is proof that indulgence and dietary needs can absolutely go hand in hand. Covered in silky smooth chocolate buttercream with layers of soft vanilla sponge and rich ganache filling, it’s a total showstopper inside and out. 🎂

🍫 Topped with Ferrero-style treats, a touch of gold, and a pop of daffodil yellow — made for Jess’s 21st and unapologetically fabulous. ✨

We had so much fun bringing this Room on the Broom scene to life. Every part of this showstopper was handmade and 100% edible—from the witch and her cat to the not-so-scary dragon!

Hours of detail and love went into turning his favourite story into the ultimate birthday cake… and yes, it tasted just as good as it looked!

Here’s to magical birthdays, storytelling, and cakes full of character!

🎾🍰 Serving up something special for Mel’s 60th! 🎉

We absolutely loved creating this tennis-themed cake to celebrate such a milestone. The buttercream textures and vibrant green hues give it that fresh court feel, and those handmade details—tennis rackets, balls, and topper—bring it all together. A smash hit, if we do say so ourselves!

When the Pressure is Lit… 🔥🎂

Making a cake is one thing, but making a candle cake for someone who makes candles for a living? That’s a whole different kind of pressure! AND creating such a special cake for a wonderful selfless lady! 🥰

We knew every little detail had to be just right—the wax-like drips, the flickering flame effect, and of course, the perfect balance of sweetness (without accidentally making it too realistic… no one wants to bite into actual wax!).

Thankfully, the end result was worth the stress, and let’s just say—it was a glowing success! ⭐
