Cake Club for September and October are now available to book on my website! Limited spaces available.

A monthly workshop that takes place on the last Saturday of every month. 🎂

I have over 12 years experience in teaching food, I am a self taught cake decorator with a passion for anything creative. 🎨🖌️
A different theme each month, all materials and equipment included and based in my home studio in Portchester which has a 5 star hygiene rating! 🤩

A relaxed atmosphere and a new theme each month covering different skills to build confidence when baking at home or for others! 💪

Everyone who attends gets their own decorated cake to take home, as well as all tools and equipment provided for you! 🎂

What does your cakes include when booking with me? 💁‍♀️

All cakes include:
Layers of vanilla, lemon or chocolate cake! 🍓🍋
Buttercream to suit and match the flavour. 🧈
Coated with white or dark chocolate ganache to keep your cake fresh and stabke for longer. 🍫
Along with flavour, your theme is the most improtant element. This can include toppers, edible decorations or models to bring your cake come to life! ⭐️
Each cake is unique and can be made to suit your event or celebration! 🎉

August Cake Club! 👜

An absolute pleasure to welcome everyone to August cake club this month.

Cake club includes a 2 layer cake of either jam, lemon or chocolate! This month everyone learnt how to:

⭐️ Roll and emboss fondant
⭐️ Panel a cake with fondant
⭐️ Use a template to cut and shape fondant
⭐️ Attaching sprinkles using glue
⭐️ Make a handle using modelling paste
⭐️ Use a variety of tools to create embellishments and flowers!

A fantastic job to everyone who attended beautiful outcomes! 🍰

Suitable for children in primary or secondary school. 📚

What goes into a cake make by me? 🍫🎂
I try to include the best quality and tastiest ingredients! Everything is based fresh and from my home studio in Portchester.

What are my cakes made from? 🍰🍪
Most cakes are made from buttercream, buttercream is included in the middle of my cakes but are covered in ganache! This is made from chocolate and cream but gives a smooth finish. It’s super tasty and will keep your cakes fresher for longer.

What additional details can be included? 🌺
Additional details can span from edible images, polystyrene balls, or a variety of piping! Certain techniques and details can be added to the cake to make it more realistic and on theme!

Do I need toppers on my cake? 🧁
Every cake doesn’t necessarily need toppers. However toppers are a good way of adding names, ages or to comemorate a special occasion such as baby shower or wedding! 💍

Who makes your cake? 🙏👏
Me! I’m an ex food teacher with 12+ years experience. I am a self taught baker who run a home studio in Portchester. I have and always have had a passion for baking! ❤️

How long does a cake take to make?⏰🕰️
Every cake is different! A lot of hours go into each cake. Regardless of hours and time every cake is made and executed with love and care!

Hi everyone! 🧁

I thought it was time I properly introduced myself! 💁‍♀️

I’m Laura, the face behind CakeMyFancy 🎂

I’m a cake maker and I love creating beautiful cakes for celebrations and weddings. There’s nothing better than being part of someone’s special day and bringing their cake ideas to life. ❤️

I used to be a textiles and food teacher, it’s all I’ve done since I came out of university but now I’m embracing my freedom and perusing cakes full time! I’m a twin mum to 3 year old twins, so I’m always busy and multi-tasking! Creativity and a lot of organisation is a big part of my everyday life and is what I put into every cake I make! 🎂

I run workshops for adults and children, I am a register food tutor and I am based at my home studio in Portchester! 🍰
