💡 Update: Streetlight Improvement Programme
You may spot our contractors out and about this month as work continues to improve the safety and reliability of streetlighting across Fakenham.

Following structural and electrical testing in 2025, a number of issues were identified with streetlights maintained by Fakenham Town Council that required attention.
These findings have been assessed and prioritised according to their nature and urgency, allowing us to establish a rolling programme of repairs and replacements.

✅Our contractors are currently working on Phase 1 of the programme, which includes the full replacement of 38 streetlight columns. In addition, a further 34 streetlighting faults have been identified and rectified so far this year.

📢SPOTTED A STREETLIGHTING ISSUE?
You can report it directly by visiting: https://www.fakenhamtowncouncil.gov.uk/streetlights

Please note that some streetlights in Fakenham are maintained by Norfolk County Council rather than Fakenham Town Council. If you’re unsure who is responsible for a particular streetlight, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.
